Success doesn't always come easy. It often requires diligence and perserverence.
We often fail due to lack of discipline in staying focused upon the direction we are heading.
It is like climbing a mountain and giving up because the path is hard and requires effort.
We have been conditioned for the easy path and instant gratification.
Steps to a Successful Year in 2010.
Too often we may reach the end of the year disappointed in our results for the year. As you look back and reflect on this years achievements or failures evaluate the following:
Sometimes we wish we were more successful in life but deep down we just know that it is not going to happen. No matter how many goals we set, we keep failing. It is this inner belief system that needs to be transformed in order for success to happen.
Transformation takes time and perserverence. The more you work at it the closer you come to achieving positive outcomes.
(KJV) Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
The results we achieve in life are closely aligned to what we were expecting.
(KJV) Matt 21:21-22 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
Goals without action achieve very little in life.
The following passage in James commends us to follow the word of God. This is not only in the written word but the revealed word of God. Doubt, unbelief and negative thinking are areas in our life that we need to recognise as situations for us to change our thinking.
(KJV) James 1:6-8 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
Our belief system will be tested and rocked too and fro with positive and negative thoughts. We need to stand firm on our beliefs and not be tossed into negativity.
(KJV) James 1:22-25 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
Develop a strong, bold positive attitude. Giving up is not an option. Failure is not an option
